If you clicked at this article because of the title, well, congratulations! That was the first step to do to achieve the style you've always wanted. I'm going to ask you a few questions now: Do you want to be stylish, but you always end up being "just trendy" and then end up looking just like the others? Do you want to stop looking like everyone else and achieve your signature look? Are you ready for the change?
If your answer is "yes" to all of the three questions above, you're reading the right article! Now there's nothing more to do but to change some aspects of your outfit game! Let's start!
"Confidence. If you have it, you make anything look good." - Diane Von Furstenberg
Okay, DVF said it! The first step to upgrade your style is that you must be confident! Whether you're wearing a fitted little dress or whether you're wearing a pair of black jeans, you must be walking, eating, and talking with confidence. I know I say the word "confidence" too many times, but trust me, it will help you change your style!
"Fashion is instant language." - Miuccia Prada
You must ask yourself these two questions: What do you want to say by wearing that outfit? What impact do you want to make?
Your style should be able to talk without you saying a single word. Your outfit should make the right impression the moment you enter the room! Choose the outfit that will make people say: "I love that shirt, where did you get that?".
"You will never be stylish if you don't take risks." - Unknown
She/He said it right! Don't say "that bodycon dress will never suit me", girl, you'll never know if you'll never try! Take risks! A stylish person always experiments, I mean that's why there are trendy things, right? Something is trendy because someone had the idea to experiment with something new, and it became trendy because people copied it. Trendy is okay, but you must be trendy with style!
"A perfect style is never perfect." Said by me.
What do I mean? Well, first of all, you don't need to match every single piece of your outfit, let your outfit match your style. I mean, if you match everything, you're going to look like you've tried to hard. So, yes, it's okay to wear that nude pink shoes with that crimson red bag. But, always remember, when in doubt, wear black.
And those are my pieces of advice to you! I hope this will help you to upgrade your style and finally be confident in every outfit you wear because that's how a fashionista does it. 'Till next time!
